City of Houston 108-Inch Water Line Houston, Texas
The 108-inch Water Line from Lee Road to Vickery Drive project includes construction of a 6,100 LF segment of 9-ft diameter raw water line in northeast Houston.
The new water line is being installed at an average depth of 18 feet and the alignment crosses numerous utilities within the largely residential construction area. The project scope also includes replacement of affected water, storm and sanitary sewer lines and pavement improvements along the alignment. Replacement sanitary sewer and water piping range up to 24-inches in diameter. Asphalt and concrete pavement restoration is anticipated to total over 90,000 SF with an additional 12,000 SF of sidewalks and driveways.
RINER’s testing and inspection scope includes monitoring of all native and stabilized backfill materials for the new water line, tie-ins, storm sewer inlets and various utility lines. The scope also includes testing and inspection of stabilized subgrade and concrete in the paving areas. All testing and inspection is being performed to City of Houston standards.
