Riner Engineering seeks a Consulting Sales Professional to join our growing firm. This salaried position will join our current Sales/Business Development team of twelve, which represents the face of Riner Engineering in Texas and is part of a larger national network of sales professionals totaling 100+. As a part of this dynamic team, you will be responsible for generating new work through lead services and fostering client relationships through outside sales, in-office development, and marketing activities. The position is salaried, located in the Austin market and will report to the Business Development Director. You will assume a position with existing client relationships and established required activities. Paid training will be provided in both sales/business development and in our engineering profession.


• Schedule and execute face to face (in person & virtual) sales meetings
• Assist with internal proposal processes
• Identify and qualify prospective clients
• Identify and pursue major potential projects through contract execution
• Assist with marketing events
• Attend select networking events
• Attend occasional evening and weekend events
• Local travel for sales meetings


• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, Science, or a related field
• 2 – 5 years of work experience
• Experience in either the Architecture or Engineering industry is preferred
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Teams
• Valid Driver’s License, and good driving record
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English
• Demonstrable desire to enter the sales field
• Demonstrable phone and interpersonal skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years in relevant sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication, science or related field.



The position is based in Austin, Texas office. Travel is required throughout the Austin and Texas areas.
