Under our existing on-call services contract with the Harris County PID, RINER was selected as the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) firm. This construction project consisted of 4,000 LF of new hike and bike trails along Cypress Creek from Faulkey Gully and passes under the Jones Road Bridge near the Hewlett-Packard campus. The trail is designed at 10-feet wide and includes 6-inches of lime/fly ash treated subgrade, 4-inches of black base and 2-inches of HMAC.
The CMT inspection scope for the project includes monitoring of trail subgrade and utility earthwork, base material, asphalt, conventional reinforcing steel, and concrete. All testing and inspection work is being performed in accordance with Harris County Specifications.
