RINER is providing geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services for this residential, retail and entertainment development. The overall project is proposed to consist of eight tilt wall design retail buildings ranging from 4,000 to 16,000 SF, a 41,000 SF AMC theatre building, a 3-story wood-framed apartment building complex and two 5-level parking garages. Project infrastructure also includes 180,000 SF of public and private roadways and utilities.

RINER performed the geotechnical field investigation, including all drilling and logging, which included a total of 640 LF of soil borings. RINER’s Geotechnical Engineering report provided recommendations for construction excavations, below grade retaining structures, building pad earthwork, mat and shallow spread footing foundations, slabs on grade, pavement construction, and utility lift station construction. The geotechnical engineering scope also included groundwater level monitoring and soil testing for swell and pH/resistivity.

RINER’s ongoing testing and inspection scope during construction includes building, utility and paving earthwork, cast in place concrete, conventional concrete reinforcing, masonry, and structural steel inspections. Earthwork for building pads and drainage features is estimated to total over 20,000 CY.
