RINER is pleased to have partnered with New Hope Housing, Inc. to provide geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing on their nearly completed “Avenue J” project in Houston’s East End. This 200,000 SF, five-story affordable housing development is RINER’s seventh project with the NHH and Camden Builders team.
Specific geotechnical challenges at Avenue J included uncontrolled fills on the property which led to the use of rammed aggregate pier foundations to support the building. This project is an example of RINER’s geotechnical engineering team using our extensive experience to deliver cost effective geotechnical solutions on difficult construction sites.
Designed by Kirksey, the energy-efficient New Hope Housing Avenue J property will offer 100 one- and two-bedroom apartment homes. Residents will enjoy a panoramic view of downtown Houston.
