RINER provided Construction Materials Testing (CMT) services for this office, retail and entertainment development in the Energy Corridor area of Houston. The development included a LEED Gold Certified 10-story office building, an 8-story parking garage and a 3-story auditorium/theater building.
The building foundations consisted of shallow spread and strip footings. The office building was constructed with cast in place concrete decks and columns with mild steel and post-tension reinforcement. The theater building was tilt-wall design with cast in place concrete over steel frame decks. The parking garage was precast design with cast in place topping slabs at the elevated decks. The project also included 35 thousand square feet of paving and ground parking areas.
RINER’s testing and inspection scope during construction included building, utility and paving earthwork, cast in place concrete, conventional and post tension reinforcing, masonry, and structural steel inspections.
